Apple has repeatedly criticized enough not to inform their users regarding the right to privacy. The California-based company has just revealed to store for two years, what has been done by the voice services integrated into their mobile devices, Siri and Dictation.
These agencies collect data with voice input and forward them, by air, to Apple servers. The author remains anonymous. Each user is assigned a randomly generated numeric identifier. After six months the connection is lost. Apple uses the data to improve its products and services.
Google has a similar policy. It also claimed that they have no chance to trace the author of a query. Beyond identity is however well-founded storage. And if the content was somehow compromising? Potentially, Apple is able to get hold of sensitive information. This gives rise to concerns.
IBM has made it known to have banned the use of Siri in its network since it is not able to guarantee the security of data.
