In times of great economic uncertainty like the one we are experiencing, even large companies tend to engage in restructuring processes which allow to focus on more profitable areas and cut those products that contribute less to generate revenue.
The e-commerce giant eBay is no exception, and in these days are riconrrendo rumors that the giant is about to get rid of the properties of Skype, obviously considered by management to get rid of a dry branch to cut spending and recover a little 'good money by concentrating on the core business: the online auction and the electronic payment system PayPal.
The first news came at the end of last week, according to the material published by The New York Times, Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis (the two original developers of the program) would be in search of capital with which re-buy Skype from eBay.
