Anyone who has installed a software created by Google, will find running in the Task Manager a process called googleupdate.exe . This is not a malicious program, but may be undesirable for a large number of people.
This service periodically checks if there are updates available for the Google programs installed, but also sends the manufacturer a range of information such as a unique ID, the language used, the operating system, version number, and other data relating to the installation .
Fortunately, disable it is very simple. Open the Start menu , click on Run , type services.msc and press Enter .
Scroll down the list until you find the entry Google Updater Service and select it by double-clicking.
In the Startup Type field , choose from the pulldown menu item Disabled .
We apply the changes with Ok and close the window.
At the next reboot, the update service will not start more than Google.
