After eight years after its debut, is available the first full version of the powerful multimedia player.
The year was 2001 when the developers of the project VideoLan Client, better known by the acronym VLC, officially released the first beta version of the versatile media player. In the complex process of evolution, the developers have fixed some bug that was going to affect the safety of your PC and progressively improved the performance and functionality. The software, since its birth, is licensed under the GPL.
A decade after its debut, VLC reaches its full maturity: it is officially release version 1.0.0, renamed Goldeneye.
But it is indeed a mere formality, many industry experts, but also ordinary people, are convinced that for some time (more precisely, from version 0.9) software had developed significant features.
The new version is available for download on this page. The program, as in previous beta releases, is available for all platforms.
The software has literally made love by Internet users, thanks to its lightweight construction and advanced features. Despite being completely free, you can read a multitude of video formats and stream flows, to rival with the tools for a fee.
