Copy tables from the Web into Excel

Copy tables from the Web and then import them into Excel document, proves to be a nightmare. The tables are not met, and everything is printed in one line. A nightmare for our eyes.

Take, for example, the table used in this page.

Copying it into Excel directly (ie selecting all and copying) we get a situation like this.

Totally inadequate, if I? allowed to express an opinion.

To really make good use we get a table in the tab called Dati and click Da Web. If you use Excel 2003 to have the same window you have to enter the menu Dati, then Importa dati esterni and Nuova Query Web. We write (or paste if you prefer) a link to the page that contains our table and click on Vai (the image below shows the window.

Localize the table looked on the page, and click the arrow in box yellow.

Then click Import . Select the cell on which to deposit the table, taking into account that one will be chosen? the first cell in the upper left corner of the table.
